Art as a tool for branding, campaign and awareness raising has become a trend for most brands and agencies especially in Nigeria. A couple of brands like Nike and Guinness Nigeria have explored this medium and more companies are venturing into this new platform of advertising. laolu-senbanjo-nike-masters-of-air_049_jacquelineharrietLAOLU SEBANJO is a Nigerian New York based artist and Musician whose creative inspiration is drawn from his Yoruba heritage. His style of Art is called Afromysterics meaning “the mystery of thought African pattern”. Every surface is a canvas for Laolu ranging from the body to clothing then shoes. His artwork on the body mostly depict social justice for women and children. His work has been exhibited in various parts of the world including Nigeria.laolus-nike-sneakers

His creative style influenced Nike’s decision to hire him as the master of air for the Air Max Convention in New York City 2016 where he would create art inspired Air max.laolus-third-pix

Laolu’s famous art work “sacred art of the ori” where he uses the body as a canvas also made its way to Beyonce’s album “Lemonade” which can be seen in her music video. The sacred art of the ori is basically about connection on the connection on the spiritual level.

Osa Okunkpolor known as OSA 7 is a Nigerian Graffiti and urban GFX artist whose passionate about telling stories using art. Osa’s style of creativity ranges from brand designs to spectacular images to abstruse images to images of historic personality.

His passion to tell stories using non-traditional art has informed the decisions of brands in Nigeria like MTV base, Globacom, Chicken Republic and Diageo to work with him. His popular works of art include a Live graffiti art performance on MTV Base, Guinness Nigeria ‘Made of Black’ campaign, Award winning Super Star album of Wizkid (Star Boy) and the very loud one is his collaboration with Guinness Nigeria.
